6) P.H. Core Function of Policy Development: Inform, Educate and Empower
Goal: To inform, educate and empower by establishing and maintaining a larger presence in schools. This is to be done by educating the youth about public health issues relevant to Richland County. This requires an open relationship with both the faculty as well as student population. Doing so meets the essential service requirement and establishes competency in the core function of policy development.
