  What is the overall goal of the Project: Address community poverty-related needs by strengthening the community and the development of community infrastructure through a community building process. The process will engage individual citizens, citizen groups, and agencies to address community needs and will enable the community to develop and implement a strategic plan resulting in sustainable activities to meet community needs.

Goal: 1. Decrease the number of high school students who use ATOD 30 days by 10%. 2. Decrease the percentage of students who use ATOD before age 13 by 10%. 3.  Decrease the number of suicide attempts and completions by 10%.

Activity 1: Assist Project Manager with Suicide Prevention infrastructure and 
policy development within healthcare systems and schools.
Step 1: Research effective emergency room intervention policies for suicide
prevention.
Step 2: Following up with local school systems to ensure implementation of
crisis response plans for suicide prevention.
Step 3: Collaborate with community hospitals to develop and implement suicide  
policy and response plans.
