Making Richland County Safer
The Injury Prevention Team will regularly have articles with updates and future plans published in the local newspapers to help educate and keep the community informed. Richland County Injury Prevention Team welcomes all community members to join the coalition and/or attend meetings. Our focus this year is on safe driving habits, but will provide information and education on other community safety issues as the present themselves. The team will provide education, demonstrations, facilitate talks, and public events.

The Injury Prevention Team represents a diverse cross-section of the community including citizens, government officials, law enforcement, health professionals, prevention and treatment specialists, business professional, and others. If you would like to join, please feel free to attend a meeting or contact the team with any comments or questions.Help make Richland County safer in 2015 and 2016:
  • Always buckle up
  • Never drive distracted
  • Educate yourself and love ones on:
    • Community Awareness Safety
    • Farm Safety
    • Water Safety (swimming and boating)
    • Fire Safety
    • Gun Safety

The Richland County Injury Prevention team has educational materials, games, programs, power points, and information on making our community safer. If you are a business, organization, club, or individual would like assistance in a particular area please contact a Richland County injury prevention specialist at the Richland County Health Department.
