The Policy was adopted by:
Richland County Commission on December 29, 2006
Sidney City Council on January 2, 2007
Fairview Town Council on January 8, 2007

The Growth Policy includes a section for each: Richland County, City of Sidney, and Town of Fairview. 

Richland County section also contains information pertaining to the areas of Crane, Lambert, and Savage.

Growth Policy documents are available in Adobe PDF format, some of them are large files and may take a few minutes to download.

A public hearing was held by the City/County Planning Board regarding the Sidney Future Land Use Map. The Planning Board provided the governing bodies of Richland County and the City of Sidney, Montana with a recommendation for an amendment to the Growth Policy to include the land use; this is pending.

The City/County Planning Board along with Richland County Planner Office and Richland County Health Department sponsors the "State of the Community" County-wide Conference.
The Planning Board utilizes the conference concept as a tool to identify ways the Growth Policy is being implemented and to gather data to update the policy in 2011.
