Stay Active & Independent for Life (SAIL)

SAIL is a 12-week, evidence-based falls-prevention program for older adults that is designed to prevent falls through exercise and education.

The SAIL program is a fitness class that includes aerobics, balance exercises, strength training with wrist and ankle weights, and stretching exercises to prevent falls.

Additionally, participants receive information on home safety, safe footwear, medication, and vision health.


Become a SAIL Leader

If you are interested in becoming a certified SAIL Leader so you can help provide more SAIL classes in the area please let us know. 

The Montana Falls Prevention Program is holding a leader training in Sidney on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. The program itself will cover the cost of the training. All you need is time, a willingness to learn, and enjoy working with seniors.

Manage Arthritis Pain with AMP (Arthritis Movement Program)

  • Help manage your arthritis without medication. Our Arthritis Exercise program  will help you take charge of your arthritis. All fitness levels are welcome and encouraged. Participants range from those who are more comfortable sitting and doing chair exercises to those with full range of motion using mats. Class details are as follows:
  • Two locations! Sidney and Fairview
  • Every Tuesday & Thursday 
  • Fairview Classes start at 9:15 am; Sidney classes at 11:00 am
  • Conveniently located at the Fairview Senior Center and the Commission on Aging (2190 W Holly Street, Sidney)
  • Classes are led by professional and certified trainers
  • Cost is a suggested donation of $10 for the 6 week program (first session is FREE!)
