COA Advisory Council
The Commission on Aging Advisory Council helps to further the COA's mission of developing and coordinating community-based systems of services for all older persons in Richland County.
Council members serve as ambassadors to the community, help to assess elderly needs, plan projects that can be developed in the Aging Plan, and oversee all expenditures to ensure funds are used to maximize the agency's reach within our senior population. Council members are nominated for their ability to meet these goals and are appointed by the Richland County Commissioners to serve for three year terms. If you are interested in being appointed to the COA Advisory Council, you may contact the Council President or call the Commission on Aging at (406) 433-3701 for more information.
The Council meets on the 2nd Monday of every even month (February, April, June, August, October, December). Changes to these dates and any special meetings will be posted here. All meetings are held at the Richland County Aging Services & Transit Center (2190 W Holly St, Sidney). Members of the public are welcome at all COA meetings. They may also contact any council member with concerns, ideas, or suggestions that can be addressed at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
