We are excited to announce that we will be starting a SAIL class on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025! The class will meet on Tuesday's and Thursday's, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Richland County Commission on Aging building (2190 W Holly Street Sidney, MT 59270). The class is limited to 20 participants, so please sign up using the form below to secure your spot. Please also fill out the attached Participant Enrollment form, and return it to us at the Commission on Aging, or bring it with you to the first class.
SAIL is a 12-week, evidence-based falls-prevention program for older adults that is designed to prevent falls through exercise and education. The SAIL program is a fitness class that includes aerobics, balance exercises, strength training with wrist and ankle weights, and stretching exercises to prevent falls. Additionally, participants receive information on home safety, safe footwear, medication, and vision health. |

Become a SAIL Leader
If you are interested in becoming a certified SAIL Leader so you can help provide more SAIL classes in the area please let us know.
The Montana Falls Prevention Program holds leader training throughout the state and we'd love to send some new trainers. The program itself will cover the cost of the training and travel. All you need is time, a willingness to learn, and enjoy working with seniors.
Call (406) 433-3701 for more information.

Improve Strength and Balance
Balance exercises are one of the best ways to protect yourself against injuries due to falls. While there are no current SAIL classes available, there are numerous exercises you can do from the comfort of your own home. Below you will find a couple videos to help you get started.
