Responsibilities of the elected County Superintendent of Schools include, but are not limited to......

  1. Register Teacher Licenses
  2. Coordinate Budgets for All Schools & distribution of funds
  3. Home School Registrations (Intent to Home School form is found under Documents/Other Files/Superintendent of Schools)
  4. Head of County School Transportation Committee
  5. General Supervision of all Schools in the County
  6. Direct Supervision of Schools without Administration (Rau & Brorson)
The position of County Superintendent of Schools is a part-time elected position and therefore the office is not always open.  In addition, a significant amount of the work takes place out of the office in the schools.  GENERALLY, I'm in town in the office early on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, but can access everything I need electronically and you can always reach me via email.
