Jury Selection Process Information
The Clerk of District Court serves as Jury Commissioner for Richland County. As required by statue, each May the Secretary of State provides a combined list of registered voters, licensed drivers and holders of Montana ID cards to the Clerk of District Court. It is the Clerk’s duty to pull individual jury panels for the District Court Judges upon request.
The jury service term for the Seventh Judicial District, Richland County lasts for one year, beginning on July 1st and ending on June 30th. If your name is chosen for the jury panel for the coming year, a questionnaire will be mailed to you. This form must be completed in its entirety. If you need to be excused for a short period of time, such as a planned vacation, we can make accommodations during those times. If you know what those times are when you complete your annual questionnaire, please list them; otherwise, please call or send us an email and we can make the changes for you.

Failure to return a questionnaire by the listed deadline for a trial may result in service by the Sheriff.
