For a building permit in Richland County a person can do 1 of the following:
Please print out 3 copies and take the form to the respective parties to receive the needed signatures and approvals on the permit application when filling out the permit application at home. It is helpful to call ahead to make sure that the office will be open before going.
This is an APPLICATION and will need to be taken to the building inspector to receive approval for a permit.
- Go to the Building Inspector office and request a permit

- Or you can print out the building permit application (PDF) and fill it out by hand. Please make sure print is legible.
